I’m working on a english project and need a sample draft to help me learn. we are going to embark on our first piece of writing. In class we are going to read two essays
1. A New Perspective by Janice Fein
2. Bread by Margaret Atwood
Both of these essays ask you to consider perspectives and the different ways of looking at situations and objects around us. To better understand this, we are going to apply the principles of deconstruction. Attached are some notes about deconstruction, but it is really easier than it appears to be. Consider what the text isn’t saying in order to better understand the overall meaning. For example, if in a piece about the rights of people of colour there is no coloured voice, one could say that there is a form of oppression occurring by looking and considering what the text isn’t saying.

——-SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT ———- READ THIS WELL!!
ASSESSED PORTION – WE WILL WRITE THISIN CLASS – PLEASE DO NOT WORK AHEAD ON THIS.
After looking at two different personal essays, I would like you to create a metaphor or a symbol to explain an idea, concept or belief. Use opposition and multiple perspective(s) to to explore your metaphor or symbol and to develop your explanation. Try to remain narrative, rather than matter-of-fact. You end goal is to explore how perspectives can change how we see the things around us. You may approach this as creative writing, a personal essay or even use one of the two essays as a guide. As this is a personal response, the use of I and personal pronouns is fine.
Requirements: Write a minimum of two pages double spaced. Please keep your response UNDER 1000 words.
